Goji Berries Used for Medicinal Purposes

Goji Berries have been used for thousands and thousands of years to help treat and prevent cancers, diseases, illness, and infections. These reddish berries have even been eaten to improve eye sight and sexual dysfunctions. The reason they are used for medicinal purpose is because they contain powerful antioxidants in them that help protect the body.

Many people use Goji berries to help boost their immune system when they are sick with colds, flues, viruses, and infections because they contain high amounts of polysaccharides, vitamin C, beta carotene, vitamins B1 and B2, zinc, vitamin E, geranium, selenium, and iron in them. Goji berries also help with sexual dysfunction by releasing a chemical into the body that helps promote calmness which relieves stress from a person helping them perform better sexually. The antioxidants in these berries even help increase semen and sperm in males who have low sperm count and are trying to impregnate a woman but seem to be having a difficult time doing so.

Goji berries also contain an anti-bacterial compounds in them called, “Solvatone.” Solvatone has been known to help treat and get rid of fungal infections in and on the body. Other antioxidants in Goji berries are physalin, betaine, choline, and beta-sitosterol. All these antioxidants help treat and reduce inflammation, tumor growth, liver and heart disease, skin rashes, diabetes, stomach cancer, and skin cancer. These antioxidants are what make goji berries excellent to use for medicinal purposes.

Goji berries can be used alone to treat a ray of common health problems, but they do work better with other natural medicines and herbs, or even conventional medicine. Just make sure you speak with your doctor before using goji berries in a medicinal way to help treat your health problem because they have been known to interact with some medications and cause some allergic reactions. Otherwise goji berries are relatively safe to use for medicinal purposes.
